Malaga 0 - Barcelona 2 (La Liga)



A terrific lobbed through ball from Messi was chested down and fired home by Zlatan Ibrahimovic to put Barca one-up at Malaga just before the break. On 59 minutes Gerard Pique turned home a Xavi free-kick.

Racing Santander 1 - Barcelona 4 (La Liga)



Zlatan Ibrahimovic's superb start to life at Barca continued in Santander as the Swede headed home the opener after 20 minutes. Three minutes later Leo Messi opened up the smallest gap in the home defence which was enough to guide a curler into the far corner. Gerard Pique completed a devastating seven minute spell for Barca notching number three from a corner. Just after the hour mark Leo Messi scored a spellbindingly good goal, drifting in from the left before cracking a beauty into the top corner. A solo stunner from Serrano gave the home fans something to smile about.

Barcelona 5 - Athletico Madrid 2 (La Liga)



Quick fire goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Leo Messi put Barca 2-up over Atletico inside the opening 16 minutes. Barca the added two more goals before the break, Dani Alves converted a free-kick before Keita tapped home after great work from Zlatan and Messi in the build up. Kun Aguero managed to get Atletico on the scoresheet just before the break. A late Diego Forlan goal proved mere consolation for the visitors with Leo Messi adding a fifth at the death for Barca.

Barca took the lead in the 65th minute when Zlatan Ibrahimovic slotted home Abidal’s left wing cross from close range. The Catalans wrapped things up with Zlatan teeing up Leo Messi to head in number two from close range.
